One of the most common wishes of people across the globe is to have healthy hair. Hair problems are not limited to hair only rather it panics people. Many kinds of home remedies are there to keep the hair healthy.
Market is being flooded with many kinds of shampoos, conditioners, masks, oils, sprays, gels and such others which promise to deeply nourish your hair. Even many kinds of therapies and spas are offered by beauty clinics to make your hair healthy and beautiful.
But one should keep in mind that there is no overnight treatment which transforms your dull hair into healthy one. Intake of healthy and balanced diet encourages the growth of hair and makes them look healthy.
Alfalfa sprouts is rich in vitamin A, B2, B5, C, K, phyto-chemicals and folic acid. Sprouts are also rich in zinc, copper and magnesium. It helps in making hair strong and healthy.
Take three tablespoon of alfalfa seeds and soak it into cold and pure water. Leave it overnight. Attach a piece of cheesecloth to the opening of jar with the help of rubber band. Strain the water through it. Keep changing the seeds in fresh and pure water. After five days or so, see the sprouts which are now ready to eat. Use it salads, sandwiches or in fried vegetables.
Leafy vegetables which include spinach are highly beneficial for healthy hair. Dark green vegetables are rich in iron, calcium, Vitamin A and C. These are helpful in the production of sebum which deeply nourishes the hair and promotes hair growth.
Wheat is rich in protein and also contains potassium, calcium, zinc, thiamine, niacin and vitamins which are considered necessary for healthy hair and healthy skin. It is a part of wheat kernel.
There are certain foods which should be avoided in order to lead healthy lifestyle. Avoid processed foods. Cut down the consumption of caffeine and alcohol. Avoid smoking too.
Stop taking birth control pills. It leads to hormonal shift and hence disturbs the system.
Avoid using strong chemicals on the hair. Avoid using iron, perm, and heat on the hair. It damages the hair leads to its dryness.
Drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day.
Herbs are also good for hair. Parsley, oregano, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, basil and sage are rich in vitamins and minerals and hence helpful in improving the quality of hair as well as maintaining its look
