Taking good care of your lips not only makes them appear attractive but it is also necessary from the viewpoint of health and comfort. Even you cannot laugh whole-heartedly if you have dry, cracked and chapped lips. Dry and chapped lips are more likely to become victim of cold sores and bacterial infections.
Here are given few tips for lips:–
Avoid licking your lip constantly. It may make you feel better for a time being but it leads to dryness. It takes away all the moisture from the skin and leaves them dry.
Always use lip balm. They are rich in moisturizer and helps in keeping the lips soft and moist.
Try to protect your lips from hard UV rays. The ultraviolet rays of sun can damage the lips as it damages the others parts of body causing sunburn. The main reason behind lip cancer is that they don’t contain melanin. Melanin is a pigment which helps protecting the skin from UV rays. Select SPF (sun protection factor) containing balm.
Wear lipsticks. It acts as moisturizer. They protect from sun rays as well as keep them moisturized. Prefer lipstick that contains sunscreen.
Observe whether toothpastes are a reason to make lips appear dry and dark. It may happen that some of the factors present in the toothpaste might allergy you. Try changing brands and mouthwashes.
Massage the lips with coconut oil. It deeply nourishes the lips and makes them appear beautiful and hydrated.
Aloe vera gel is well known for its healing properties. Rub the gel of aloe vera on the lips. Leave it for few minutes and then wash it off.
Mix some crushed petals of rose in one tablespoon of glycerine or ghee and gently massages the lips with it. It will add beauty to it.
Rub the slices of cucumber on lips. It will soften the lips.
Massage the lips with castor oil. It will deeply moisturize the skin.
Honey is great for skin healing. Rub honey on lips and get rid of chapped lips and get blessed with rosy lips.
Apply fresh milk cream on lips. Gently massage the lips with it and get better results in no time.
Include the eatables rich in Vitamin A in the diet such as carrots, tomatoes and green leafy vegetables. It helps in overall development of body.
Drink plenty of water to keep the body hydrated. Even fruit juices and soups serve the purpose.
