Toothache Home Remedies
Any bacterial infection in the teeth or gums leads to toothache. It is a common condition and person belonging to any age group and gender can develop it. The main cause of tooth ache are tooth decay or cavities, gum diseases i.e. tissue inflammation or infection, chipped or broken tooth, abscesses tooth i.e. a painful infection in the gums or root of the tooth, exposed tooth roots and such others.
Here are given some home remedies for toothache which can save your time from visiting your dentist.
Applying clove oil is most easy and effective method to get rid of toothache. It will also bring immediate relief from the toothache. Apply it directly over the tooth. Pepper powder can also be added to clove oil.
Have spinach leaves around? Chew it. Fresh spinach leaves work great on toothache.
Guava tree leaves are also effective in curing toothache. Chew it.
Neem has anti-bacterial properties which prevents tooth cavities to occur. Use neem based toothpaste or chew leaves of neem. It will help in relieving from the tooth pain.
Prepare a mixture of salt and pepper and apply it directly over the tooth which is aching. An immediate reliever from toothache!
Wheat grass juice is effective in killing the bacteria in the mouth. Drink it once a day.
Avoid too hot or too cold eatables. It harms the teeth. Prefer eatables stored at normal temperature.
Restrict the amount of having sugar and sugary products. Chocolates and pastries should be avoided.
Hold one clove of garlic below the aching tooth. It will provide immediate relief from the toothache.
Applying ice cubes can also provide relief from toothache. Put the ice cubes in a plastic bag and place it on the cheek just above the aching tooth.
Raw onion is effective in killing bacteria present in the mouth. Chew slices of onion and get relief from toothache.
Add a pinch of turmeric powder in mustard oil and apply it directly over the tooth. This is one the oldest and most effective remedy for curing toothache.
People having toothache are advised gargle the mouth after meals. Brush the teeth twice a day. Follow it strictly.
Add a pinch of salt and five grams of peppermint in one cup of water. Drink it for fast relief.
Rinsing mouth with whiskey is said to cure the toothache.
Boil the bark of margosa along with six cloves in water. Let it cool. Store it in refrigerator and use as and when needed.
