Urine Infection Home Remedies
The most common problem people facing these days are Urinary tract infections (UTIs). These are commonly found in women than in men. Chances are there to get a second UTI.
Frequent visit to washroom and burning sensation in the bladder or urethra, fever, back pain and blood in the urine are the symptoms of Urinary tract infections.
More than two days of UTIs needs medical attention. Prolonged infection can lead to kidney infection and even create more serious problems further. Following are given some home remedies to treat urine infection:–
Add one teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water. It helps in neutralizing the acidity in the urine and helps in recovering.
Blueberries and cranberries share the common plant family and have the bacteria locking properties. Studies have proved that blueberry juice help in preventing urinary tract infection. If not finding blueberry juice, have berries over the cereal in the morning.
Cranberry juice helps in avoiding urinary tract infections. The mild antibiotic properties of cranberry prevent the bacteria which causes the infection from entering in the bladder. Four ounces of cranberry juice in a day help in keeping the bladder free from infection. If you already have it, drink two to four glasses of cranberry juice a day.
The enzyme namely bromelain present in pineapples has been found as an effective antibiotic in getting rid of the infection. Intake of a cup of pineapple is good for curing UTIs as well as tastes good too.
Drink plenty of water. Eight to 10 glasses of water is must for those having UTI. Urinating helps in dealing with the infection as it flush out the bacteria by making one urinate more.
If it is paining, then place a hot water bottle on the lower abdomen. It will ease the pain caused by the infection.
Vitamin C is highly recommendable either as a supplement or in diet. It helps in keeping the bladder healthy. 5000mg or more vitamin C has been prescribed by doctors to those who develop recurrent urinary tract infection.
Try not to hold urine. Holding urine for longer time, get a backup of bacteria which eventually results in infection. Prefer cotton undergarments.
Stop or at least cut the consumption of alcohol. It irritates the bladder and aggravates the problem.
Cut down the consumption of caffeine. It also irritates the bladder.
Mix sandalwood, bergamot, tea tree, frankincense and juniper in equal amount and rub over the bladder area. Continue it for three to four days. It helps in preventing the bladder infection and reduces the severity of the symptoms.
